About Susan Vedadi

Susan works in the heart of Birmingham’s jewellery quarter where she has run her own business since the 1970’s. After leaving school she spent a year as a trainee at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum Coventry leaving to go to Birmingham and take a BA course in Three Dimensional Design specialising in jewellery. Apart from 6 months living in Paris she has stayed rooted in the jewellery quarter enjoying having all of the jewellery allied trades on her doorstep.


She is a Freeman of the Goldsmiths Company and has work in the permanent collection of Birmingham City Art Gallery & Museum. Over the years she has exhibited at the Goldsmiths Fair, Art in Action, with The Designer Jewellers Group and has had work in Electrum, Roger Billcliffe Glasgow, Dazzle at the National Theatre, Centrepiece at Symphony Hall Birmingham and many more.


Her main outlets have always been selected craft fairs where she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for her one-off designs and the unusual and rare gemstones she uses. Working mainly in 18ct. gold her work draws its influences from her love of all periods of antique jewellery and the colour and unique qualities of gems.
